"Hakan Fidan and General Yasar Guler will assume more power"

Schools will be established to train Intelligence officers at an academic level in order to meet the need of the institutions that will do the intelligence analysis.

Turkish Newspaper Hurriyet wrote that “Intelligence will be divided into domestic and foreign Intelligence. MIT is going to look at foreign Intelligence and will be attached to the Office of the President.”

There is no unit in Turkey focused solely to foreign Intelligence. This situation leads to gaps in the information that is obtained.

Hurriyet reported that “domestic Intelligence will be left to the police and the Gendarmerie: Gendarmerie for rural Intelligence and the police in the city centers”.

A new unit will ensure coordination between domestic and foreign Intelligence. The "Intelligence Coordination" will be attached to the Office of the President.. But it will not be limited to coordination. At the same time Intelligence analysis will be carried out here.

Hakan Fidan, Undersecretary of MIT, and General Yasar Guler, Commander of Gendarme Forces, will assume more power.
